Viagra®

Dosage

The usual recommended dose is 50 mg taken as needed, approximately 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity. However, the medication may be taken any time from 4 hours to half an hour before sexual activity. Based on the effectiveness and side effects of the medication, the dose may be increased to 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg.

The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg and it is not recommended to take more than one dose per day. Viagra (Sildenafil) may be taken with or without food, but taking it with a high-fat meal may increase the time before the medication starts working.

Many things can affect the dose of a medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

It is important to take Viagra (Sildenafil) exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take higher doses of Viagra (Sildenafil) than those prescribed by your doctor. Contact your doctor if you take a greater dose of Viagra (Sildenafil) than prescribed.

Store Viagra (Sildenafil) in its original package at room temperature, protect it from moisture, and keep it out of the reach of children.

Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.

Cialis®

Dosage

For the treatment of erectile dysfunction:

On-demand dosing:

The usual recommended dose is 20 mg taken as needed, at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Cialis (Tadalafil) has been shown to be effective within 30 minutes of taking the tablet, and last up to 36 hours later. As the amount of time Cialis (Tadalafil) takes to work varies from person to person, starting sexual activity at different times after taking the tablet will determine the optimal time for sexual activity. The maximum recommended amount of medication to take is one tablet a day.

Once-a-day use:

The usual recommended dose is 5 mg per day, taken at about the same time each day and regardless of when sexual activity is planned. The daily dose may be lowered by your doctor if necessary.

Cialis (Tadalafil) may be taken with or without food.

For the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or erectile dysfunction with BPH:

The usual recommended dose is 5 mg once daily, at about the same time each day. It may be taken with or without food.

When a new medication is first introduced, only one company makes it. They hold a patent, so they're the only ones allowed to produce and sell it. These brand-name drugs are usually more expensive because there's no competition yet. After a while, that patent expires, and other companies can start making their own versions, known as generic drugs. Generics are great because they cost less but must still meet strict Health Canada standards. They have exactly the same active ingredients as the original medication, although some non-active ingredients can vary slightly. Overall, generic medications offer the same quality and effectiveness as brand-name options but at a lower cost. For more information, check out Health Canada’s page on generic drug alternatives.
Yes! Generic drug alternatives available at Pocketpills are carefully reviewed and approved by Health Canada. Before generics are authorized, they must demonstrate that they provide the same quality, safety, effectiveness, and strength as the brand-name versions. Our pharmacists also personally ensure that every medication we provide meets strict standards, giving you peace of mind that you’re receiving safe, reliable treatment every time.
